Myles Dunlop
I am a young filmmaker who strives to tell any story that pops into my mind with as much passion and vigor as I can. My severe dyslexia may have held me back in school, but it also instilled a strong work ethic in me which translated across academics and movie making.
I first fell in love with filmmaking at the young age of six when I could “bring my Legos to life” on my parents computer. I would press record and talk and move the legos as if I were them. As the years went on, I became so fascinated with every aspect of making movies that I started to teach myself….everything. I was first drawn into VFX as it allowed me to create worlds and ideas that only seemed possible in my mind. I then started to incorporate VFX into every short film I made just so I could try out a new technique. As I grew older, I started to gravitate towards real stories and how I could convey them through writing, shots, and lighting. Throughout high school and college I took every film class that was offered and even tried to take grad level classes. I will never stop learning how to make movies, because there is always a new technique or idea that I will always strive to figure out and understand.
My dream is to direct my own feature length movies and be a household name. I want to tell stories that have never been told and will change people's perspective on the world. I have a long way to go before I get to that point, but I will stop at nothing to get there.
